Fusion Bond Epoxy Lining & Coating
For nearly 50 years fusion bonded epoxy has been used for a wide variety of corrosion applications. Fusion bonded epoxy is a heat applied powder coating that can be applied in thicknesses from 10 - 40 mils. The most effective method of application is by submerging the preheated part in a fluidized bed for a specific period of time to achieve the desired coating thickness. U.S. Pipe Fabrication operates the largest fluidized bed in North America with convection ovens for faster heating of materials. No other fabrication company has more experience in the application of fusion bonded epoxies than U.S. Pipe Fabrication.
Typical pipeline applications include internal and external coatings for natural gas, petroleum, water and sewage, as well as pipe systems for refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants and paper mills. It has NSF-61 certification for use in potable water and FDA certification for use in food handling applications.
U.S. Pipe Fabricationricator applies two types of fusion bonded epoxy depending upon the surface to be protection and the type of protection desired. Following is a brief description of the product and it's attributes.
